NORWICH - Job seekers and students are invited to explore a wide range of career and education options at the Second Annual College & Community Job Fair.

The event, presented jointly by Commerce Chenango and Morrisville State College, will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 10 at Morrisville's Norwich Campus, 20 Conkey Ave. in Norwich.

"Not everyone realizes the diversity of career and education options available within a small radius of Chenango County," said Jill O'Hara, Membership & Programs Coordinator for Commerce Chenango. "By combining the elements of both a job fair and a college fair, we're bringing all of those options together in one space."

Like any job fair, job seekers and soon-to-be college grads will be able to explore current openings at local employers. And college-bound students will be able to evaluate nearby colleges and universities. But what really sets the event apart, O'Hara said, is that it encourages both jobseekers and students to think long term.

"They will be able to really connect the dots between the career they want and the education they need to set them on their chosen path," she explained.
