Blackhawks And Bobcats Exchange Blows; B-G Boys Drop Hancock

OXFORD – The Oxford boys and girls varsity bowling teams hosted a inter-county matchup with the boys and girls of Bainbridge-Guilford this past Thursday, where the outcome proved to be divided.

The B-G boys managed to sneak out a win over the Blackhawks by a score of 4-0 with a total pin count of 2,823-2,354; while the on the girls side of things the Oxford girls proved the victors on the lanes with a 4-0 win over the lady Bobcats and a total pin count of 2,128-1,974.

On the boys side it was B-G's Cam Luca, Ed Fuller, who proved most impressive on the day when all three bowlers hit season highs during the matchup.

Luca finished with a game high of 246 – hitting all games over 200 at 205, 246, and 225 – bringing his to a series of 676. Fuller hit a game high of 257 – with all games going over 200 at 235, 257, and 254 – for the series high at 746, and game high at 257.

As for the Oxford Blackhawks it was all Phil Smith who also hit season highs during the matchup. Smith finished with a series best for Oxford at 609, after taking the game high for Oxford at 224. Smith hit the 224 in the first game followed by another game over 200 at 211 in the second game.
