BAINBRIDGE – The Bainbridge-Guilford girls varsity basketball team has now mowed down another opponent on their season schedule, taking down Unadilla Valley at home by a dominating score of 72-27.
With the lopsided win for the B-G girls, they have now moved to 11-0 overall. Paving the way for the Bobcats en route to yet another win, was again Abigail Selfridge. Selfridge led both teams in scoring on the day with an impressive stat-line of 32 points in essentially three periods of play – while also nearly hitting perfect from the charity stripe as she finished 4-5 on the day. Second in scoring on the day – for both teams was Megan Palmatier of B-G, who snagged 12 points of her own, earning the perfect mark from the line at 4-4, where Selfridge fell one short.
The dangerous B-G duo – along with their immense depth on the team – saw three extremely dominant periods go their way to start the game. Taking the halftime lead over the Unadilla Valley lady Storm at 37-9, Bainbridge-Guilford was able to outscore UV 15-8 in the first only to quiet nearly all of the Storm offense in the second outscoring the road team 22-1 in the second period.
