SHERBURNE – The Sherburne-Earlville Volleyball program has suffered through a drought in the wins column this season – a drought that they hope their hard nosed play will soon end, despite their latest loss to Adirondack 3-1.
Taking the very first set all the way down to the wire, S-E was able to come within two-points of Adirondack, before falling in the set by a score of 25-23. Adirondack planned to sweep the lady Marauders aside with a second set victory at 25-18.
Already up 2-0 and the game on the line Adirondack was in striking distance of closing out the matchup on Jan. 25. However – despite their season record – the ever resilient S-E stood tall in a third set comeback, as they reversed the tables to take a 25-22 set from the visitors.
