BINGHAMTON – Four runs over the final two innings sealed the deal for the Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats softball team, as they beat the Warriors of Chenango Valley 11-10 for their first win of the spring 2017 season.
Over the first four innings of play, the Warriors swept the bases scoring nine of their 10 runs in the early innings. Meanwhile, the Bobcat offense showed shades of power and efficiency, rallying for seven runs of their own in the same time span.
It wasn’t until the latter half of the ballgame, that B-G dug deep and held their own on the road.
Down 10-7 in the top of the sixth inning, B-G’s Alli Miller worked a walk with one out, only to cross the plate on Kori Thornton’s RBI double.
