SIDNEY – Bainbridge-Guilford softball is off and running, recording their fourth win of the year against the Sidney Warriors in a 7-0 ballgame on Wednesday April 5.
B-G plated Kori Thornton in the first inning in which Megan Palmatier was credited with the RBI to put the Bobcats ahead 1-0. With Thornton’s pitching keeping the Warriors at bay, B-G tacked on another run in the third inning with Thornton on base, Megan Palmatier hit an RBI single, driving in Thornton for her second run of the game. B-G’s offense once again struck in the fourth when Ashley Matthews scored off of an Abbi Miller single.
It would be an inning later when Jill Cannistra and Megan Palmatier each scored – with Cannistra scoring on Palmatier’s double and Palmatier scoring on Bree Barber’s single.
