New York Pioneers Low-cost Narcan Program

CHENANGO COUNTY – New York has become the first state in the country to offer low-cost or no-cost Naloxne, a prescription drug that can reverse heroin and opioid overdoses.

Under the new program, individuals with prescription health insurance, including Medicaid and Medicare, can get up to $40 in co-pay for the drug, which is commonly referred to as Narcan.
