NORWICH – A city of Norwich resident was arrested Thursday for selling cocaine and also charged with evidence tampering, after he allegedly tried to swallow a bag of cocaine as officers attempted to handcuff him.
Norwich City Police Chief Rodney Marsh said an investigation into the sale of cocaine began in August, and the arrest was made after police presented evidence to Norwich City Judge James Downey and a warrant was issued.
The investigation by the NPD and Sheriff’s office concluded with the arrest of Rufus R. Brown, 42, of Mitchell Street in Norwich.
