NORWICH – Commerce Chenango is once again teaming up with NBT Bank to provide Chamber members an end of summer Soiree in the Park.
The event will be held in Norwich’s West Park this Thursday, September 14 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Taking into consideration forecasted thunderstorms, Commerce Chenango President & CEO Steve Craig says the decision will be made Tuesday afternoon whether they will move the Soiree in the Park to the American Legion on Sheldon Street in Norwich.
Furthermore, Commerce Chenango has announced that the “Entrepreneur of the Year” award will be presented to Allen Lindenthaler at the event.
“Allen is a terrific example of someone who was raised with a hard work ethic, who sees opportunities where others don’t, who takes advantage of them and makes them successful,” said Craig.
Lindenthaler has been a Chenango business owner for over three decades. His longest-standing business, A&J Auto Reco, has been providing 24-hour towing and recovery services, and vehicle and body repair since 1983.
“I’ve known Allen’s family for the last 30 years,” said longtime friend of Lindenthaler’s, Joe McBride. “He is not only someone who takes care of the fender-benders, but is also a strong advocate of important issues and is a cornerstone of our community.”
