CLINTON – Yet to play in a league game, the lady Marauders of the Sherburne-Earlville varsity field hockey team succumbed to the high-powered attack of Clinton.

S-E traveled to Clinton High School on Monday, September 11, in a game which S-E head coach Christina would have liked her squad to have come away with a win.

At the half, S-E trailed Clinton by just one goal – a mark that increased substantially in the second half – as Clinton poured on the attack for a 4-0 final score.

Scoring for Clinton was Gianna Trunfio, who scored three goals – all assisted by Catherine Soults. Clinton's Jess Ritz notched the only other goal for the home team – taking the assist from teammate Roxee Hughes.
