NORWICH – After the unsealing of 63 absentee ballots and one affidavit, Mike Genute has officially won the Norwich City Court Judge Republican primary election, beating opponent Steve Natoli by a final vote count of 309 to 300.
Seven absentee ballots were also unsealed for the Town of Plymouth Councilman Republican primary race, revealing a tie between candidates Jerry Kreiner and John Marvin. Of the two open seats for councilman, Daniel Meyer has clinched one, and Kreiner and Marvin remain tied for the second seat.
Chenango County Republican Commissioner of Elections Mary Lou Monahan says further details are forthcoming.
