NORWICH – Ellie O’Neill is a strong defensive player for the Lady Purple Tornado Soccer team. Captain for her final year, Ellie caps her soccer career with her 11th season this year. She is the center of the backline for Norwich and has played both as a sweeper and stopper for the program.

“Ellie is one of the most reliable and responsible athletes we have,” said Norwich Head Coach Matt Wilson. “She supports her teammates both on and off the field. She regularly calls plays and covers for her defensive line.”

O’Neill averages over 20 stops of offensive plays per game. Her dedication to our team is admirable and she is a natural leader.
