BINGHAMTON – Norwich’s volleyball squad ripped off three consecutive wins on Thursday night, handing the Chenango Valley Warriors a 3-0 home loss.
“It’s nice when you can play everyone and have them all play well. Some of the girls played different positions and had a great time doing it,” said Norwich head coach Shelly Alger. “CV had a couple of very good servers and we handled the return well. Girls had some great tips to the opposite side that were very successful.”
Norwich’s defensive efforts on the night, Thursday, September 21, held the Warriors to under 16 points in all three of the sets played.
In the first set, the lady Tornado took Chenango Valley by storm with a big 25-10 win. CV answered with two better sets – however, the follow-up of the big first set loss only resulted in two more Norwich wins at 25-16 and 25-15.
