NORWICH – Three new Norwich Police Department officers were sworn in at Tuesday evening's Common Council meeting, bringing the department's staff to 19 officers according to Chief Rodney Marsh.
Steven Rounds, formerly of the Oxford Police Department, was sworn in Tuesday, along with recruits Ryan Hagen and Michael Oralls, who are currently attending the Mohawk Valley Police Academy.
Hagen and Oralls have been attending the academy held at Mohawk Valley Community College since June, Marsh said, and they are expected to graduate the academy this December.
