NEW BERLIN – Unadilla Valley and Unatego went the distance plus two extra sessions before the Storm’s Shelby Meade found the back of the net to give her team the overtime win Thursday night.

Julia Oglesby scored the first goal for the Lady Storm early in the contest, and the Spartans tied it before going into the intermission. The second half was a 1-1 stalemate to send the game into two-10 minute overtimes.

The first overtime was again scoreless. The excitement came in the second 10 minute session when Meade scored giving UV the 2-1 lead. They finished the game by blanking the Spartans, giving up nothing.

The Storm look ahead to Oxford on Monday, October 2 for a matchup against the Blackhawks at 4:30 p.m.
