BINGHAMTON – The Chenango Forks Blue Devils scored on every drive they had in the first half, putting 42 points on the scoreboard before the first half was over.
Led by their running back, Jermiah Allen, the Blue Devils had a total of 473 yards on offense. Allen carried the ball for 256 yards on 26 carries and scored four first half touchdowns.
“Allen is a strong back and has a low center of gravity,” said Norwich head coach Mike Chrystie about Allen’s preformance. “He hits the hole hard and has great vision.”
“Their line is where it starts though,” commented Chrystie. “They have a very impressive front five that get off ball very consistently.”
Forks dominated the line of scrimmage as Allen was able to run behind the front five for three to four yards before finding a whole and cutting to the outside.
Norwich started the game with a run by Drew Walsh for a first down but it was Norwich’s only first down of the first half.
Unfortunately, the Purple had no answers on offense, being held scoreless until the second half.
