This gifted, contemporary folk performer has it all: tenor vocals fluid and enthralling; masterful guitar skills; sense of humor; and lyrical eloquence. His themes range from life to love, politics to religion, and then beyond.

Vance Gilbert burst onto the singer/songwriter scene in the early 90’s when the buzz started spreading in the folk clubs of Boston about an ex-jazz singer who was knocking ‘em dead at Open Mics. The word spread of this Philadelphia-area born and raised performer to New York, where Shawn Colvin invited Vance to be a special guest on her fat city tour. He then took the audiences across the country by storm and the rest is….history!

Along with a razor sharp wit, Gilbert is one of the most entertaining singer-songwriters you’ll ever see, but, he can deftly change the mood of a show in an instant with a sincere delivery of one of his deep-flowing songs.
