Grand Jury Indicts 10 For Felony Offenses

NORWICH – A grand jury indicted 10 people with several felonies, including: making a terrorism threat towards a school, rape, forgery, assault, and welfare fraud.

Brandon P. King was indicted for first-degree rape, a class B felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor after allegedly raping a minor.

According to the indictment, the rape occurred outdoors on February 18 in the City of Norwich, as the victim demanded King to stop.

Chas M. Frink was indicted for making a terrorism threat, a class D felony, after Frink allegedly stated in a mobile app Snapchat video that he was going to "shoot up the school."

The indictment states that on March 8 in the Town of Otselic, Frink was onboard an Otselic Valley Central School bus when he recorded a Snapchat video of himself. The indictment reported Frink made a statement that he was going to shoot up a school, and then he posted the video on Snapchat for others to view.

Austin J. Crumb was indicted for second-degree assault, a class D felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor, after Crumb allegedly struck a minor.

On March 6 and while in the City of Norwich, 19-year-old Crumb allegedly struck a child under five-years-old on the head with his hand causing pain and bruising.
