NORWICH – A trailer fire on Horstman Lane in Norwich on Monday was considered a total loss for family members after first responders arrived to a fully involved fire.

Norwich Fire Chief Jan Papelino said the fire at 132 Horstman Lane was electrical and originated by a panel box in the trailer.

"When the first units were en route, they could see the column of smoke in the sky before they even got to the scene," said Papelino. "It was pretty extensive, I mean the family lost pretty much everything."
