NORWICH – A Norwich man was arrested yesterday following an assault with a deadly weapon that resulted in a woman being hospitalized for her injuries.

Bradley W. Flood, 54, of Norwich was charged with first-degree assault, a class B felony, following an attack on Willard Court in the City of Norwich that lead a woman being hospitalized.

According to court documents, the 93 year old victim was struck multiple times on the head and body with several household items including a chair leg, fan post, ceramic lamp, and power strip, causing her serious physical injuries.
