NORWICH – The Chenango Arts Council is inviting the public to attend its biannual gala on Saturday, November 17 for a Mardi Gras themed party at the Canasawacta Country Club.

Featuring music by Prime Time Horns of Syracuse, lighting by Live Entertainment of Norwich, and Mardi Gras themed dishes and drinks by the country club, Chenango Arts Council (CAC) biannual gala committee chair Whitney McCracken said this year’s event will be a splendid time for all who attend.

“People look forward to the event every other November to have a good time,” said McCracken. “We like to up our game each time, and I feel like we’re really upping the game this time.”

The biannual gala, which serves as a fundraiser for the arts council, will take place from 6 to 11 p.m. on Saturday, November 17. Attendees are asked to RSVP by Wednesday, November 7, at www.chenangoarts.org or by contacting the arts council at (607) 336-2787.

“It’s every other year and it’s a very meaningful event to us,” said McCracken. “It takes a lot of time, a lot of planning from volunteers in the community to the board members which are from corporations and community volunteers.”
