NORWICH – At its meeting Wednesday evening, the Norwich City School District Board of Education announced the district will select an interim superintendent this winter to succeed Gerard O'Sullivan, who will retire in August 2019 after 15 years as the NCSD Superintendent.
Board President Howie Sullivan said in a press release read aloud at the meeting, "The appointment of an interim superintendent will give the district time to review its finances and plan strategically for the future while searching for a permanent superintendent."
Sullivan noted the district is interviewing four candidates for interim superintendent, and will work with DCMO BOCES District Superintendent Perry Dewey during the selection process.
