NORWICH – Many Americans start the New Year with a list of Resolutions. But when it comes to converting those resolutions into lasting lifestyle change, more than a third don’t even make it to February, according to one nutrition expert.
“In many cases, we know what we should be doing to live a healthier lifestyle. The challenge is actually doing it,” said Janice Minutti, RD.
As an outpatient dietitian at UHS Chenango Memorial, Minutti helps her clients build plans to keep them motivated and on track as they make long-term changes to their diet and lifestyle.
She’ll be sharing tools and tips on the topic in a presentation on Healthy Habits on Tuesday, January 29 at Bohemian Moon, 103 East Main Street in Norwich. The program will begin at 6 p.m. with an optional $15 buffet and cash bar. The presentation and discussion will follow at 7 p.m.
“We’ll be focusing on helping participants make a realistic plan to successfully meet whatever healthy eating and exercise behaviors they want to accomplish this year,” Minutti said.
