NORWICH – The Purple Tornado scored 37 second-half points, cruising to a 65-41 win over the visiting Chenango Forks Blue Devils Friday night.

Norwich’s Skylar Wenzel scored 16 points and pulled down 12 rebounds in the game to record a double-double and dominate the inside.

“Skylar had his best game of his career against Forks,” said Tom Collier, Norwich’s head coach. “He was aggressive on the boards and finished well.”

He added two blocks to his statline but Collier stated that he altered many other shots as well.

The Tornado’s Marcus Cashman had the hot hand from the outside for the home team in the win,

hitting seven 3-pointers for 21 of his game-high 23 points. He also tallied a double-double, pulling 10 boards off the glass.
