NORWICH – During the joint committees meeting Tuesday night, City of Norwich officials offered an update on the dialysis center that's coming to the Tops plaza, including who will run it and how people can get in touch with them.
As part of the department head report for code enforcement, Norwich Fire Chief Jan Papelino told the committees that the codes department has continued its inspections of the future dialysis center's facility, and that the center will be run by American Renal Associates, which currently operates a dialysis center in Oneida and 233 others in the country.
"They've been running the one in Oneida for a couple of years," Papelino told the committees. "They did some studies to see where the next area would be that they would want to go, and Norwich got selected ... Certainly good news, and I think they've got a pretty aggressive target date that they want to get opened by."
