SHERBURNE – The Lady Marauders ended their four games in four days stretch with a 68-43 win over Clinton on senior night.
Senior Kaitlyn Furner of Sherburne-Earlville ended her regular season career on a high-note, scoring 24 points and pulling down 16 rebounds.
Furner, Amberlyn Robertson, Sage Ashton and Mackenzie Holmes were recognized prior to the start of the contest. All four scored by the end of second quarter as the Marauders took a seven point lead into the halftime break.
S-E produced 25 points in the first quarter of the contest as the team shared the ball and found the open player on every basket scored in the 11-0 run to start. Clinton’s Hanna Morse ended the run with a 15-foot jumper, tallying the first two points of the game by the visiting team.
The Marauders didn’t let up after the Morse bucket as Tessa Cole knocked down back-to-back 3-pointers – her second and third of the quarter – to put S-E ahead by 13.
