OXFORD – In their final home game of the regular season, the Oxford Blackhawks celebrated senior night with a convincing 57-27 win over the Bobcats of Bainbridge-Guilford.
Behind Jason Davis’ 15 first-half points and C.J. Smith’s rebounding work on the glass, Oxford was able to pull away from B-G early in the contest as they went up by 20 before the intermission.
Out of the break, Bainbridge-Guilford up 12 points on the scoreboard in the third quarter for their best offensive production of the contest. Leading the way during the 12 point run for the Bobcats was Thomas Palmatier and Devon Scherhaufer, splitting the scoring with an even six points each in the stanza.
In the fourth quarter, Oxford’s Josh Christian knocked down a shot from behind the 3-point line to register all Blackhawk seniors in the scoring column.
