Prison Officials Say No Foul Play In The Death Of Convicted Murderer

AUBURN – New York State Police investigators confirmed Thursday the death of Jeremy Coates, an inmate at Auburn Correctional Facility likely didn't involve foul play.

Coates was found guilty of murder and robbery in April 2018, convicted of killing an Oxford man and then stealing from the victim's home.

Coates was sentenced to life without parole, but had served less than eight months before his death.
