NORWICH – A Preston man's plea deal fell through on Friday after he pleaded guilty but refused to admit that he sold meth in City of Norwich stating, "I never went to the City of Norwich."
Nicholas W. Andrews, 33, of Oxford, is charged with fifth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, a class D felony. According to court documents in February of 2018, Andrews was recorded on video selling meth in the City of Norwich by an undercover investigator.
Following his appearance in Norwich City Court on October 17, Andrews yelled various profanities at police and the press as he was returned to jail. In his remarks, he accused officials of corruption.
On Friday, Andrews began by saying he didn't remember selling meth out of his parents house in Preston, but shortly after said he did.
