NEW BERLIN – The Sam & Adele Golden Foundation for the Arts will present its seventh annual Made in Paint exhibit, featuring 28 pieces created by its 2018 Artists in Residence at an opening from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 6.
Every year since 2012, the Artists in Residence program by The Sam & Adele Golden Foundation affords 18 artists from across the globe the opportunity to spend four weeks at a barn beside Golden Artist Colors in New Berlin to experiment with their art using paint made by the company.
"We've gotten to know some amazing people, some amazing artists and then we get to show their work," said Sam and Adele Golden Foundation Program Director Emma Golden. "It's like a big family, the family just keeps growing."
The Made in Paint exhibit will open on April 6 and will be on display at the Sam & Adele Golden Gallery (SAGG) through the end of July. Golden said some of the 2019 Artists in Residence will be in attendance, traveling back to New Berlin from places as far as Singapore, Romania, California, and Utah for the gallery opening.
"The residency program invites artists from all over," said Golden. "We've had artists from Israel, Germany, Australia, England, lots of different places. And it's really amazing that all of these artists want to come to little New Berlin."
