NORWICH – Commerce Chenango will recognize local leaders and organizations next week as it hosts its annual membership luncheon on Wednesday.
The chamber will thank local businesses for their ongoing support, offer a report to members and hand out annual awards for best business, best non-profit, and outstanding young professional.
The event will take place on Wednesday, May 1, at the American Legion Post #189 in Norwich and is sponsored by Visions Federal Credit Union and the Preferred Mutual Insurance Company.
A highlight of the luncheon is always the Member Award presentations. This year, awards will be distributed to honor Best New Business, Best Non-Profit and Young Professional of the Year. Each of the winners was chosen by a vote open to Chamber members and Commerce Chenango affiliates. Additional awards will be presented later in the year.
After reaching out to the local community and getting feedback from more than 160 organizations and individuals the Chamber awarded Savurn Memorials as Best New Business, the Chenango Health Network was selected for Best Non-Profit, and Brianna Curley, from the Chenango County Interagency Council, was recognized with the outstanding Young Professional Award.
