CHENANGO – The Chenango County Department of Public Works announced a rate increase at county disposal facilities.

Starting May 1, new tipping fees will be $2 per bag of garbage and $60 per Ton of garbage. There will be a charge of $3.50 per tire up to 20 inches and $155 per ton for tires over 20 inches. CRT monitors will cost $7.50 per unit.

The current rates are $1.50 per bag of garbage and $58 per ton of garbage. CRT monitors cost $5 per unit.
