NORWICH – Chenango County’s Law Day is this Friday, and retired United States Army Sergeant Major Joseph F. Santiago has been chosen to receive the Liberty Bell Award for his service to his country and his community.

The event will begin at 1 p.m. Friday at the Chenango County Courthouse and the public is invited to attend. Refreshments will be provided after the celebration.

According to Chenango County Court Judge Frank Revoir, Jr., during the event there will be several speakers and awards presented including the Liberty Bell award.

“We have a variety of speakers and awards scheduled for Law Day,” said Revoir. “The Liberty Bell presentation and its history are one of the biggest draws.”
