NORWICH – On May 13, The Monday Evening Musical Club held its annual ‘Advanced Students & Scholarship Winners’ program at UCC in Norwich.

This year’s winners, Erica Frost of Bainbridge-Guilford & Andrea Dempsey of Oxford, bring the number of recipients to 100, since the Club began the scholarship program, in 1954.

Officials said it was an exciting evening of music featuring, in addition to Erica & Andrea, many talented young musicians from Chenango & Madison counties.

Music Club is wrapping up its 109th year, making it one of area’s oldest cultural organizations. The club presents free monthly concerts, October through May; performers include students, club members, area teachers, and professionals.
