NORWICH – This year's Aviation Day was canceled due to ongoing construction at the Warren Eaton Airport in Norwich, but members of the Young Eagle group are still offering free plane rides for children and teens from 8 to 17.

From 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 8th, at the Lt. Warren E. Eaton Airport in Norwich Chapter 1204 of the Experimental Aircraft Association will offer Young Eagle flights again this year for children 8 to 17.

Officials said a parent's or legal guardian's signature is required on the registration form, and these flights are free of charge, with officials hoping to provide an educational exposure to aviation.
