NORWICH – A man is facing multiple felony drug charges after allegedly fighting with law enforcement and carrying packaged for sale heroin and crystal methamphetamine in the City of Norwich.
Daniel P. Sabines, 32, of Oxford was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class B felony, third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, a class B felony, second-degree assault, a class D felony, and resisting arrest, a class A misdemeanor, following an investigation into the sale of narcotics in Norwich.
According to court documents, at approximately 12:10 p.m. on June 14, while East Main Street in the City of Norwich, Sabines possessed ten bags of prepackaged heroin along with a bag of crystal methamphetamine. It states that Sabines knowingly sold heroin at that time.
