SOUTH NEW BERLIN – Several weeks into the South New Berlin Horseshoe league, the teams aren’t only battling with each other. The 19 teams in the 2019 season have been duking it out with mother nature, causing many make up dates as the Wednesday night league as been cancelled or postponed.

The weather, however, hasn’t stopped the league from going as many teams are finding the time to make up their matches. Currently holding strong at the top of the standings board is team Reese-Marshall with a record of 21-7. Team members Tresta Smith and Kate Lloyd jumped to the top of the leaderboard after the June 12 matches and have held the first place spot since as the following week was postponed.

Behind the Reese-Marshall duo in second is Chris Eastman and Floyd Wagner of team P&E. While Eastman and Wagner have racked up the high point total of the season thus far with 4,105 points, they hold a record of 19.5-8.5 to sit a game and half back behind Smith and Lloyd.

In third is the Taylor’s Country House team of Brad Shaver and Jess Sherwood, trailing team P&E by a half of a game. Northern Eagle (Chris Davis and Mike Aylesworth) are in fourth place for the current standings with a record of 17-11 while Mike Grant and Tim Lidell of Baille Lumber round out the top five with their record of 17-7.
