NORWICH – The Chenango Blues Association is presenting the NBT Bank Free Thursdays Summer Concert Series every Thursday through the end of August this summer, bringing some of the biggest artists to Norwich’s East Park.
Tonight, Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad will perform.
Formed in 2001 in Rochester, New York, Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad first received praise for their live show, which combined world beats and reggae rhythms within jamband aesthetics. In recent years the band’s studio recordings, which showcase their songwriting and musicianship across all genres of roots music, have further cemented their legend as master innovators and artists.
On July 25 the Garcia project comes to the Norwich stage to recreate a classic Jerry Garcia Band set from anywhere from 1976 to 1995.
On August 1 it will be the return of Bill Kirchen, the master of the telecaster and original guitarist for Commander Cody and the Lost Planet Airman. Following that is the much anticipated appearance of Pink Talking Fish.
