NORWICH – Local law enforcement officers will take to the rooftops of several Dunkin’ restaurants for the annual “Cops on Top” event in order to raise awareness and funds for Special Olympics New York.
The event will be held from 6 to 11 a.m. Friday at Dunkin' located at 5697 NY-12 in Norwich. The community is invited to attend.
According to event organizers, local law enforcement will stand on top of participating Dunkin’ restaurants in New York's Southern Tier while Special Olympics New York athletes collect donations at each location to help support the cost of their athletic training and future competitions.
Community members are invited to visit the participating Dunkin’ restaurants to support the officers, speak with the athletes and their families, and make donations to Special Olympics New York. Dunkin’ will offer guests a coupon for a free donut as a thank you when guests make a monetary donation to the organization.
“Dunkin’ is honored to support the vital efforts and programs of Special Olympics New York which enhance the lives of both children and adults with intellectual disabilities,” said Dunkin’ Integrated Marketing Manager Eric Stensland. “We’re thrilled to partner with our network of generous guests to support this wonderful organization."
