NORTH NORWICH – The North Norwich Town Court recently finished construction to increase efficiency and allow individuals the opportunity to speak privately with their attorneys if needed.
According to North Norwich Town Court Judge James Matott, renovations are small and include the addition of a judge’s desk, a banister around the seats of the court clerk and judge, and wall decals. Matott said a larger addition that required construction was a conference room.
“Local courts are usually the first place people come into contact with our criminal justice system, and it’s important that we represent our legal system with professionalism,” he said. “These renovations help us with that. Our courtroom actually looks like a courtroom now.”
