GREENE – The 100th annual Greene Labor Day Picnic was held on Monday, with a variety of events for people to enjoy.
The picnic was held on Monday, September 2, at the Ball Flats in Greene.
President of the Greene Picnic Labor Day Association, Byron Miller said he greatly enjoyed his final year running the event, and this year in particular was a tremendous success.
"We had probably about 10,000 people attend the picnic," said Miller. "The weather held off, and we had a bunch of new events for people to enjoy."
He said the new events included a pie eating contest and a 1919 fashion show.
