GREENE – Back-to-back meets for the Lady Trojans swim team resulted in losses against Windsor and Johnson City but many positives came from both contest according to Greene head coach MK Dugue.

Tuesday’s meet was separated by nine points with the Black Knights of Windsor as the final score was 88-81. “It was a great meet and lots of close races,” said Dugue.

The difference in the score was caused by the Lady Trojans not having a diver on the team this season, awarding Windsor 10 points for diving.

The races in the pool, however, were nearly split down the middle as Greene came away with three relay victories and four individual events while several swimmers gained points for the Trojans with second through fifth place finishes.

Skylar Nowalk of the home team won both the 50 yard and 100 yard freestyle events – both quick, sprinting type of races and teammate Olivia Ketzak took the 200 and 500 yard freestyle, giving Greene a sweep of the stroke.

Amy Bentley came away with two second place finishes, one in the 200 yard individual medley and the other in the 100 yard breaststroke. Colleagues Ella Prindle and Madison Pavlovich gave the Trojans points in the individual medley event as the two finished third and fifth respectively.
