NORWICH – The second Saturdays in the Park with Chobani is this weekend, with officials still seeking corn hole competition participants and teams.
According to Saturdays in the Park with Chobani Coordinator Mindy Chawgo, over 30 local businesses attended last weekend’s event, and will return with a variety of goods including pumpkins, organic produce, honey, and more.
Chawgo said the events will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for six consecutive Saturdays ending on October 19 at Norwich’s West Park.
“Last weekend was a great success, it was nice to see so many familiar faces downtown for this year’s very first Saturday in the Park,” she said. “At this point we’re still looking for more corn hole teams to compete this weekend so if anyone else is interested in participating in a great cause please reach out to us.”
She said its supposed to be a beautiful weekend weather- wise, and that she hopes people will come out and experience some of the new vendors and events this year.
