NORWICH – Valley Heights Christian Academy remains open for it's 38th year and earlier this month held a family friendly barbecue to welcome students, parents, and friends back to the school.

Valley Heights Christian Academy in Norwich started its 38th year of operation with a barbecue and welcome time for students, parents, and friends on Tuesday, September 3.

Officials said school board members did the grilling, volunteers provided the salads and desserts, and a crowd of well-wishers filled the gym and welcomed the new school year with enthusiasm.

Valley Heights Christian Academy is a ministry of Calvary Baptist Church, offering parents of the area a biblical alternative as they teach and train their young people in academic subjects and spiritual truths.
