BAINBRIDGE – No. 13 in the state and currently undefeated Greene dominated offensively on the pitch of the Bobcats Monday afternoon as the Trojans claimed a 8-0 shut out win over Midstate Athletic Conference host Bainbridge-Guilford.
As the visiting team tallied eight goals, Greene rifled off 27 shots compared to B-G’s four taken throughout the contest. Greene led 4-0 after the first 45 minutes of play and tacked on another four goals in the second half.
Leading the scoring was the Trojans’ Scout McCumiskey, tallying three goals and delivering two assists in the game.
Teammate Alec Frair recorded two goals and Nolan Butler, Trent Rapp and Nick Shoemaker each scored one.
Prior to registering a goal of his own, Greene’s Shoemaker saved two of B-G’s shots sent his way. Kolby Finch, Shoemaker’s colleague that subbed in at the keeper position, added a save.
The Bobcats’ goalkeeper Zach Graham recorded 19 stops in the game.
Greene’s Jonny Lee, Ashton Craver, Robbie Champlain, and Riley Seeley all distributed the ball as each Trojan sent a ball that resulted in a goal. Lee joined McCumiskey with two assists in the stat column.
