Bobcats Shoot Lowest Score Of Season In Win Over Delhi

Norwich downed on home course by tough Windsor team

GUILFORD – Bainbridge-Guilford’s Tom Lord finished holes eight and nine at Sundown Golf Course with back-to-back birdies to card a 40 for Thursday’s round against Delhi. Lord was crowned top medalist of the match and the Bobcats came away with the 233-270 over the visiting Bulldogs.

Thursday’s team score of 233 for B-G was the season’s lowest for the home team and the Bobcats were able to do so with everyone shooting below a 55 for the round at the par-36, nine-hole course.

Bainbridge-Guilford’s Caleb Presly and Ryan McCarthy both shot a 45 while Jon England turned in a 48. Omar Mohamed rounded out the top five with a 55 for afternoon.

Delhi was led by Corey Zwick’s 49. Sam Lees and Sean Carron each finished the round with a 51 and Bronson Thomson ended the day with 59. Gavin Little was the Bulldogs fifth golfer, carding a 60.

The Bobcats, now 8-4 for the season, host Sidney Friday for their third home match of the week. Tee time for the two teams is slated for 4:30 p.m.
