NORWICH – Katharine Mirabito Voss smiled as she handed a check to UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital leaders.
“The ink is still wet,” she cautioned.
The check, in the amount of $20,000, is the first installment of one of three multi-year pledges that helped lay the groundwork for the Norwich hospital’s first capital campaign in nearly three decades.
“We are excited and proud to support the Chenango Medical Neighborhood Capital Campaign project,” said Voss, who serves as president of the Chenango Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
The Auxiliary’s commitment of $100,000, to be paid over five years, was one of three leadership gifts announced at the Capital Campaign kick-off in August. The other foundational gifts came from the hospital’s own board of directors and the Chenango Memorial Hospital Foundation.
