NORWICH – In shadow of impeachment and national politics dominating the public's attention, the Chenango County Democratic Committee is holding a fundraiser this Sunday and hopes to focus on local issues.

Spokeswoman Patti Giltner said the event had been scheduled weeks in advance and she hoped residents would attend and meet with local Democrats.

“Most local officials are Republicans, but Democratic leaders will be there,” she said. Giltner said any public supporters were welcome to attend the 2019 Campaign Kick-off event.

The event is a dinner that takes place at the Bohemian Moon from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Guest speakers will make comments at 4:30 p.m. Tickets for the event are $30 per person.
