AFTON – The Lady Bobcats cruised to a first round rout over Cincinnatus in the Tip-Off Tournament at Afton. Bainbridge-Guilford captured their third win in as many games with a 66-12 final score.
B-G’s senior Macie Leizear finished with a double-double in the contest, posting a game-high 27 points, and pulled in 10 rebounds – nine coming off the offensive glass.
Leizear made 12 field goals from the floor, two coming from long range.
Also scoring double-digits in the game for the Bobcats were Sara Cannistra with 10, Celeste Baldwin with 14 and Taylor Parsons finished with 11.
The defense of the Bobcats held the Lady Lions to one point in the opening stanza while their offense gained a 31-4 margin by the halftime break.
Cincinnatus posted six points in the fourth for their largest offensive, producing eight minutes of play.
The Lions were led in the scoring column by Alexia Abbatiello’s five points.
Parsons was one rebound shy of joining her senior colleague Leizear with a double-double. She finished with nine boards while Baldwin pulled down six rebounds and came away with a game-high five steals.
Bainbridge-Guilford (3-0, 1-0) will play the Gilbertsville-Mount Upton Eagles in the championship of the tournament at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
