NORWICH – Tuesday at the City of Norwich Common Council meeting, three local high school teens were recognized by Norwich Fire Chief Jan Papelino.

Papelino stated, Jerell Stocks was walking home with two brothers, Nicholas and Anthony Ragonese, when they noticed a small fire outside the home of Tom Bishop, a high school teacher. The youths called 911. A short time later fire fighters arrived and the teens showed them where they saw the fire.

“The City of Norwich is grateful to you for what you did. You truly made a positive difference for many with your perception to realize there was a fire, report it, and assure first responders they knew the exact location. Thank you,” said Papelino.
